Here is our newest pup - who hasn't a name yet. He was heard
crying in a garbage dumpster. God Bless the person who cared
enough to stop and save him from certain starvation and death.
Let's raise enough money to help transport him to the Sanctuary
and get him the help he needs! He is less than 6 months old and
is Blind!

Polaris is such a wonderful happy puppy! He came to us in very sad shape - he was underweight and not going to survive. He is a purebred Akita puppy and suffers from Cerebellar Hypoplasia - in a very mild form. He came to us at 2.4 lbs and cried and yelled constantly. When he went to the vet for his last visit before travel - he weighed in at 8.4 lbs and is happy, interactive and wags his tail and plays with the other cats and dogs! The home he has found is dedicated to taking care of Akita's and is also dedicated to being sure that he has all the medical attention he needs and has a happy, happy life! Follow his progress here ! |
| Shelby is a Lab/Golden mix and is 5 years old. She suffered from an acute fungal infection when she was only 3 years old that nearly took her life. She has many guardian angels at IMOM that helped raise the money she needed for surgery on her wrist to repair the permanent damage that the fungus caused. Now that she has that - she is doing SO WELL and has many wonderful followers! You can read the blog that she updates occasionally to stay in touch with her! |

Casper is a domestic short hair tabby with Persistent Pupillary Membrane
Syndrome. Vets have advised to wait until Casper is 6 months old to have
the surgery that will relieve him of any discomfort that he has.
Casper was born on April 17th, 2009. *Update Jan 26, 2010* Casper's eyes have healed wonderfully! He has regained about 65% of his vision and has received a clean bill of health from the vet! Would you have a warm lap, an inviting heart and be in possession of a feather toy? You may be a perfect match to give him a new home! Interested? Drop us an email or find him on Petfinder.com! |

Comet is a 6 year old great dane mix that came to us 4 years ago. Weighing in at a whopping 48 pounds Comet was seriously underweight to say the least. Comet was also one of the first pets affected by the dog food poisoning. With amazing vet care, surgery and lots of love and medication Comet seems to have come out of it just fine and now only eats Natural Balance dog food. Comet lives with 3 cats and a pug and has no idea he weighs 120 pounds. He is a lap dog first and foremost….. and he is loved. Watch his blog as he shares his "view" on living with his new human! |
